There is a rocket building competition for High School and Middle School students called American Rocketry Challenge. This competition will consist of up to 1000 teams and over 100,000 dollars in prizes for the students and the school of the winning teams. Each team will consist of 3-10 people. The top 100 teams will fly out for the finals which is in Washington DC. This competition has partners such as NASA and the Department of Defense. The premise of the competition is to build a rocket that reaches 825 feet while also protecting an egg held inside. We will be building many rockets in preparation for the qualification and final launches.

Rocketry Club will meet on Thursdays from 12:00pm-1:30pm weeks 1-3 in Mr. Spiegelberg’s room (RM 8) or in the Maker’s Space depending on the week. This is only for students who are dedicated and believe that they will be a good fit on the team. There is limited space on the team, please feel free to submit the interest form.
