***8th graders will be notified during 6th period on Friday, May 22, if they will participate in the promotion ceremony.***
Promotion Eligibility Requirements:
Passing all classes (No F's)
No more than 1 U in your periods 1-6 classes
No serious behavioral infractions (no suspensions or incidents determined by administration)
Promotion Rehearsal: Please make sure your student is present and arrives on time for rehearsal on Wednesday, 5/27 during first period. Students who do not participate in the promotion celebration, as well as those who arrive late, will be assigned to the library during the rehearsal time.
Ceremony Details: The ceremony usually lasts approximately 1 hour. All guests will be asked to refrain from bringing balloons, confetti, silly string, canopies, air horns, food, or drinks into the stadium. All guest must be seated. Picture walls will be available for picture taking AFTER the ceremony. If your student is leaving with you after the ceremony, you must sign them out at the designated tables.
Promotion Certificates: Students participating in the promotion ceremony will receive their certificates in the stadium immediately after the ceremony. Students who are not participating may pick up their certificates after school on Thursday, 5/28, or between 8:30AM and 1:30PM on Friday, 5/29.
Attire for Students: Please be advised that absolutely no strapless, spaghetti straps, crop-tops, backless, lace in middle of dress, holes or cutouts in dress, or see-through tops will be permitted (dress length, including slits in skirts/dress must reach the student's fingertips when hands are down). Heels are not allowed on the field, please select a wedge or flat shoe. Appropriate attire for boys includes dress pants or jeans without holes, and dress shirts or shirts without logos. If you have any questions in regards to the appropriateness of an outfit, please have your child consult their school counselor, or Administrator in advance.
