Class of 2028 Summer Bridge
On July 30th and 31st, Hoover staff, administration, and Cardi Crew welcomed our Freshmen to campus for the first time. From meeting new classmates, exploring the campus, learning about their academy, and having a fun field-day bbq, Freshmen received a warm welcome to The Nest. Thank you to all Class of 2028 students who attended, and shout-out to all of our staff who led the festivities!

As one of the first in his family to graduate high school, Domanick Castro shares how the Ocean Discovery Institute's support and a San Diego Foundation Community Scholarship Initiatives scholarship helped him achieve his dreams of going to college. Since its start, the SDF Community Scholars Initiative and its nonprofit partners have helped more than 8,000 students prepare for, pay for and persist through college – including several hundred first-generation students.
