Congratulations to Alina Nguyen for winning this year's SDUSD Student School Board Member election! On Friday, Alina was surprised by Hoover Admin, School Board members and ASB in her 1st period AP U.S. History class, announcing her win. Alina will represent students across the district as their representative on the School Board! What at incredible achievement! Way to go Alina!
On Friday, Hoover hosted College Signing Day, recognizing Seniors and their commitment to furthering their education. The entire event was live-streamed for all to see, and you can re-watch it here!
I am excited to announce that Hoover High School won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize for the 2025 District of California Courts Video Contest based on the question: "When Duty Calls: Why Exercising the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship is Important to Me" as a project in the AP US History Course/Honors American Literature - https://www.casd.uscourts.gov/civic-contest.aspx

Freshman English classes are going head-to-head in a friendly competition to see who can raise the most spare change — and the winning class scores a pizza party!
But it’s not just for freshmen — everyone is invited to join in. Got a change jar gathering dust at home? Bring it in! Every bit counts, and your support, big or small, will help make this fundraiser a success.
