MET Academy 11th Grade Podcast Celebration

A huge congratulations to our 11th graders in the MET Academy for their incredible podcast projects created in APUSH with Mrs. Towers and Honors American Literature with Mrs. Gastelum! Students tackled real-life issues head-on, producing thoughtful and powerful content that reflects the depth of their learning and the strength of their voices. The whole MET Academy came together to celebrate the top podcasts, and to hear an unforgettable, groundbreaking story of resilience from guest speaker Elsa Selvia. We are so proud of everything our 11th graders accomplished, keep shining and using your voices!

Congratulations to the 49 Hoover High School seniors from the Class of 2026 who have earned the California State Seal of Civic Engagement! 🎉 This prestigious recognition celebrates students who demonstrated outstanding civic knowledge, community involvement, and a dedication to making a real difference in the world around them. Hoover should be incredibly proud — we ranked #3 in the entire district for this honor! A special shoutout to Ms. Towers, Ms. Riego, Ms. Briana, Ms. Leon and Ms. Harden for guiding and supporting students throughout this journey.

A massive congratulations to Ms. Desingano's Entrepreneurship and ASB students for absolutely crushing their Mock Interview Day with Junior Achievement and Axos Bank! 🙌 These students put in the work by building resumes, mastering interview etiquette, and learning how to confidently present their goals and strengths to professionals, and it was apparent when they sat down face-to-face with real industry professionals and held their own. To top it all off, 8 students have already secured paid summer internships as a result of their dedication and preparation. This is what happens when you show up, put in the effort, and bet on yourself, we are incredibly proud of you and your accomplishments!
