SDSU Men's Basketball & the Mesa Foundation Visit the Hoover Market

On Tuesday, November 19th, the Mesa Foundation and the SDSU Men's Basketball team partnered with Feeding San Diego to visit Hoover's Market! The afternoon started with a tour of the Big Gym where the Aztecs' Assistant Coach JayDee Luster ('07) is recognized as a Hoover Legend. The team then joined in the newly renovated Sports Med facilities for a brief introduction to the Hoover Market. Here, our Cardinals got to socialize and meet the team, while enjoying lunch. Then the hard work began! Each member of the team was paired with an ASB leader or senior Health Academy student to learn the ways of the market. The team assisted with both the student and community distribution, learning about the impact Feeding San Diego's food donations have on our Hoover Community. Lastly, of course we eneded the day with a Hoo-Ryde and Principal Carrillo adopted about 20 more honorary Cardinals! SDSU EOP Presentation

Please join us for an upcoming virtual EOP presentations for high school students applying for Fall 2025 admission into SDSU. The flyer attached includes dates and registration information. Each presentation will be held via Zoom. An RSVP is not required but is appreciated and there is no deadline to RSVP.

CSUSM Guaranteed Admission

Dear Seniors,

As you may know, San Diego Unified School District and Cal State University San Marcos have established a partnership to provide guaranteed admission for students who meet certain requirements:

Students must be continually enrolled in the district since 9th grade with exception for homeless, foster youth, and military dependents
Students must complete all A-G coursework required by CSU admission policies
Students must meet minimum CSU eligibility requirements
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 upon graduation
Students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or The California Dream Act Application.

We are sending you this invitation to participate in a special event at Cal State San Marcos on Oct 3, 2024 to learn more about the university and the guaranteed admission opportunity. The day will feature a welcome and overview of the campus majors and program offerings, a CSU application workshop, information from Financial Aid, lunch and a tour of the campus.
