Congratulations to the Girls Flag football team for defeating Crawford 34-6. The Battle of the Blvd. features a silver pigskin trophy that gets awarded to the winner of the game. This win gave the Cardinals the trophy for the second year in a row. The Colts were the first to get on the scoreboard which only fueled our Cardinal defense. Myesha, Philly, and Caitlyn all had interceptions to lead our team to a victory. Hoo-Ryde!
The football team defeated Coronado high school last Friday night ending a 25 year losing streak against the Islanders. The win also secured a league title, which we have not done in 10 years. The team plays at Crawford this Friday night 11/1. Please show up in your Hoover gear and help push our team to victory. With a win over Crawford we can knock them out of the playoffs! Congrats to our team on a fun season and we all wish you good luck going into playoffs.
On Thursday October 24th, Hoover Cardinals Varsity cheer held a pumpkin decorating night! They brought out blankets and snacks to the South Quad lawn and each painted their own Halloween pumpkin.
