Brief Biography of 

Ms. Boldrick

I was born and raised in San Diego and am a third-generation resident of Mission Hills. My father and sisters all attended Grant School.

This is my 36th year as an educator. Throughout my career, I have taught in San Diego at Hamilton, Birney, and Walker, as well as in Torrance Unified School District, Broward County, Florida, and Montgomery County, Maryland public schools. I majored in History and Political Science at Point Loma College and earned my master’s degree in School Leadership, along with an administrative credential. I also received training in Applied Behavior Analysis.

I was married for 28 years and have two grown children, David and Lauren. Shortly after we were married, my husband became an FBI agent, and we moved to Los Angeles. We lived there for 16 years before relocating to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when he was transferred there. He later retired from the FBI.

While living in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Parkland, my children experienced a tragedy at their school. Following that experience, they became co-founders of March for Our Lives. Our family then moved to Washington, D.C., to support our children in their activism. Our son is a graduate of Harvard University, and our daughter is a graduate of Georgetown University.

After the pandemic, my husband and I decided to move back home to San Diego. Following a decade-long battle with Parkinson’s disease, my husband passed away.

Our children continue to live and work in Washington, D.C.

I am a passionate teacher who truly loves what I do. I teach because I love it, and I feel fortunate to have dedicated my life to educating and inspiring young people.
