Welcome to the new school year! The first day of school is Monday, August 31st. All students will follow a general schedule for the first week of instruction to help students get acquainted with the 2.0 Distance Learning model and their new teachers. Students must attend a daily, check-in meeting with their teacher during the first week of instruction and will engage in District-led modules. Students will engage in both synchronous (live with teacher) and asynchronous (independent or pre-recorded) instruction throughout the day.
Tentative Schedules
TK -5th grade: Synchronous learning (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Asynchronous learning (12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.)
Middle School: Synchronous learning (8:50 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.)
Asynchronous learning (1:20 p.m. - 3:20 p.m.)
The special education team, along with the general education teachers, will be attending intensive trainings during the first week of instruction (8/31-9/4), while simultaneously collaborating extensively with the general education teachers to coordinate your child's Distance Learning special education services. Please be on the lookout for your teacher's welcome letter detailing a daily schedule.
