Q: When is Graduation?

A: June 5th, 5:30 pm in the CHS Stadium- Seniors report to the Gym at 4:15 for line up


Q: I am an Early Grad, can I participate in the Graduation?

A: YES!  Just let Ms. Fulton know- hfulton@sandi.net


Q: Do I have to participate in graduation?

A: No. 


Q: Are tickets required for graduation?

A: No. 


Q: Is there a Graduation walk through?

A: Yes and it is mandatory, Graduation Walk through Rehearsal

June 4, 9 am @ CHS Gymnasium followed by Senior Breakfast and then Cap and Gown distribution in The Auditorium

All seniors participating in the Graduation Ceremony at Clairemont High School are required to attend this Rehearsal event. 


Q: Is there going to be a Senior Awards Night?

A: May 23  CHS Theatre 5:00 pm- 6:30 pm

Q: Will there be Senior activities?

May 1st-  Senior Acceptance Celebration

12:15- 2:15 pm CHS Library 

May17th - Powder Puff Football Game Stadium 5:00 pm

May 29th -Yearbook Distribution- Students will pick up their pre-purchased yearbook from Mr. Jimenez in Room 209 starting at 8:30

June 2- Grad Nite

CHS Foundation will be organizing Grad Nite- Disneyland/CA Adventure.  June 2nd  More info here   Tickets are sold out

June 4th- Mandatory Grad Rehearsal- CHS Gym 9:00 am

June 4th -Senior Breakfast

 All Seniors are invited to a Senior Send-Off Breakfast and yearbook signing event. This event will take place just outside of Room 308 in the lawn

June 4th- Cap and Gown pick up CHS Theatre foyer- 11:30 am- 12:30 pm

June 4th - Marston Parade Noon

June 4th- Bonfire @ Marine Street Beach 5 pm

Q: Will there be a Grad Nite?

A: Yes,  the CHS Foundation hosts this on June 2nd More info here   This event is sold out

Q: When do I get my diploma?

A: June 6 - 10:00  am - 11:30 pm in front of the CHS Auditorium

Q: How do I order my Cap and Gown?

A: Through Jostens.  Order Here  Caps and Gowns, along with all of the best Senior Swag can be found on their website 

Q: Do I have to buy a cap and gown?

A: No, you may always choose the rental (free) option, also available on the site. You must still go to the site and fill out your information, in order to borrow a gown. You do not need to worry about the color of the gown. Ms. Fulton works directly with Jostens at the end of the year to ensure that every student has the correct color.  

Q:Where do I pick up my cap and gown?

Date: June 4th CHS Theatre foyer- 11:30 am- 12:30 pm

On this day, Josten’s and Ms. Fulton will be on campus at Clairemont to distribute Caps & Gowns to all seniors. Seniors can pick up their pre-ordered cap and gown. If you cannot make this time/date please arrange a pick-up time with Ms. Fulton. 


***PLEASE NOTE: Receiving a cap and gown on this day does not guarantee students will be walking in the commencement ceremony. Participation in commencement is contingent upon final grades, final GPA, completion of high school graduation requirements, as well as a clean behavior record for the remainder of the school year.

Q: Where do I return my borrowed cap and gown?

 Once these items have been returned, students will pick up their diploma.

Q: When do I receive my Diploma?

In order to pick up your official diploma, the above steps (return materials, return rented/borrowed caps and gowns and complete senior survey) must be completed first. All seniors need to pick up their official diploma on campus on June 6 as official diplomas are not given out at Graduation. Students will only be issued one diploma and must sign for it when they pick it up.

Q: Can I decorate my graduation cap?

A: You can decorate your graduation cap if you purchased your cap. If you did not purchase your cap you cannot decorate it.  

Q: How do I find Scholarship, College, and Trade School Information?

A: Please go to the Counseling Google Classroom- you will find information about scholarships, workshops, application assistance and so much more!

Q:Does the Foundation Offer a Scholarship?

Q: How do I order my yearbook?

A: Order Here

Q: Can I buy a yearbook and are they doing Senior Ads?

A: Yes- please for more information  click here

Q: I ordered announcements, when can I pick them up?

A: If they have been mailed to school, Ms. Fulton will distribute to you when they come in

Q: Is yearbook accepting Senior baby photos, yearbook quotes, standout nominations?

Q: Is there going to be a prom?

A: Yes, Marina Village May 11


Contracts, once filled out, need to be turned in to Ms Fulton.  Once admin approves them, they will be outside of Ms. Fulton's office ready for pick up.  Grab it and take it to Ms. Smith (Finance Office) to pay for the ticket.

Q: Is there an exit survey?

A: Senior Survey Class of 2024- distributed by Counseling in May

All graduating seniors must complete our online Clairemont High School 2024 Exit Survey. This important survey will take Seniors about 15 minutes to complete. 

Q: Where do I bring my books and computer?

A: Ms. Manning is encouraging Seniors to start bringing back any books, textbooks, or chrome books that are no longer needed at this time

Senior Check Out / Materials Return


All Seniors must complete the check out sheet. Copies of the Check-Out Sheet can be picked up in the Front Office, from a Counselor or Administrator, or in the Library. In order to receive their cap and gown on June 4th Seniors will need to ensure that the Check-Out Sheet has been signed by the appropriate CHS staff and all items below have been completed.

Q: Will Athletes be honored?

a: Yes, every team will appoint a Team Parent to organize these.  Emails will go out to parents asking for photos

Q: How do I find out if I have overdue Library books?

A: Check with our Librarian Ms. Manning- amanning@sandi.net

Q: I got into College or University, who should I tell?  I accepted, should I relay this as well?

A: Mr. Ramirez has sent out a survey to all seniors please list all college acceptances, and then where you have decided to go.  Congratulations, we would like to properly honor you at Graduation. Survey to be released by Counseling mid March.

Q: How do I take my Senior Photos? 

A:  Prestige was on Campus Sept 18-22  to take Senior photos.  If you still have yet to take your photo you must schedule it now directly with the studio

Q: Can I just use my own photographer?

A: Not for yearbook pictures, which is why we have offered numerous options with Prestige.   **You may of course take pictures with another photographer if you are making your own announcements however, these phots will not be in the yearbook.


Q: Is there a Yard Sign this year for Seniors?

A: Yes, these will be distributed during Grad Nite sales at lunch- Ticket Sales will be on campus at lunch!!!!- Grad Nite ticket sale dates Feb 28, Mar 6 & 13    Also- on Valentines Day at Lunch!!!
