I grew up all over Southern California and even attended Bell (and Boone)! I have spent my entire career supporting low-income and first-generation students with their educational dreams - through TRIO Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, and SDSU EOP.
I am very happy to be back in this neighborhood and to learn about the Bell community. I look forward to collaborating with you as we plan together what it means for Bell to be a Community School, in which all members of the school community (students, staff, parents, and community partners) feel valued and supported. Please feel free to reach out - I'd love to learn more about Bell from you.
My office is in the Parent Center.

I have been a teacher at Bell since 2006. Currently, I teach reading development and co-teach math. It has been so wonderful to watch the school grow and change. For this reason, I am very pleased to be one of the Community Schools Site Coach for Bell.
Helping Bell become a community school lets me bring my love for the Bell community to build support for families and find new, exciting opportunities for our students to enjoy. For our children to truly thrive they need all our care and support. Becoming a community school gives Bell a way to provide this for our students. I hope you will join our work. We value your voice.

I am a product of SDUSD and a proud City Heights native. I have been in education for 12 years, starting off as an English teacher at Bell Middle School in 2014. After years of classroom teaching, I transitioned to counseling at the middle school and high school level through San Diego.
I was given the amazing opportunity to come back to Bell 5 years ago to join our counseling team. I am currently the 7th grade counselor.
This year, I am sharing the Community Schools Site Coach role with Ms. Carpender. We are working alongside Ms. Bacame to partner with our community to bring resources for our students. We also work with our teachers to create and develop curriculum that is grounded in Project/Community Based Learning to help our students become critical thinkers and change makers.
I am excited to work with you and serve our students and families.
