Request another route of entry to the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program as soon as possible. Include your name and home address, the contact information of the person making the request, the name and address of your high school, and a brief explanation of why you were unable to take the PSAT/NMSQT.

Schools will either send out a confirmation form or plan to test all 11th graders on a school day or Saturday in October. Students can opt-out if they want and will instead do another activity to prepare for their future.

If you already have approved accommodations, please have your SSD ID available as it will often need to be manually entered into the registration system for it to apply to your digital exam.
