In 2025, Sancta Maria College became an Erasmus+ Accredited School.
Erasmus+ Accreditation — What It Is?
In 2025, Sancta Maria College was awarded Erasmus+ Accreditation as part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme for education and training. This is a prestigious recognition that enables the school to participate more fully in European educational mobility and cooperation projects under Erasmus+
Being an Erasmus+ accredited school means Sancta Maria College can now:
Participate in Erasmus+ Mobility Activities: Both students and staff can take part in funded international learning experiences, professional development visits, exchanges, and collaborative projects with other European schools.
Strengthen International Collaboration: The accreditation opens opportunities to build long-term partnerships with schools and organisations across Europe, fostering cross-cultural learning and shared best practices.
Plan Educational Exchanges: For example, the school is already planning a Transition Year student mobility trip to Málaga, Spain for the 2025–26 school year, giving students hands-on international experience.
Host International Students/Staff: Sancta Maria College has already hosted visitors under Erasmus+ -
Students from Málaga participating for a month; Teachers from France for Job Shadowing; Students and Teachers from Assisi, Italy for a short-mobility.
Our Accreditation Objectives:
Objective 1 : To develop diverse cultural awareness amongst students and staff
Objective 2 : To enhance digital literacy amongst students and staff
