Job-Shadowning Profilschule Fürstenbergen (Bad Wünnenberg – Alemania)
Martxoaren amaieran gure institutuko bi irakaslek, Ianire Niebla eta J. Carlos Caraballo, Alemaniako Bad Wünnenberg-eko Profilschule Fürstenberg institutuan lau egun pasatzeko aukera izan genuen. Lau egunetan zehar hainbat ekintza burutu genituen; institutuko klaustroko kide asko ezagutu eta beraiekin hitz egin ahal izan genuen; lau jardunaldi hauetan, irakasle klaustroaren eta institutu honetako ikasleen egunerokotasuna behatu eta laburki parte hartu ere egin genuen.
At the end of March, two of our school's teachers, Ianire Niebla and J. Carlos Caraballo, had the opportunity to spend four days at the Profilschule Fürstenberg school in Bad Wünnenberg, Germany. Over the four days, we carried out various activities; we were able to meet and speak with many members of the school's teaching staff. During these four days, we also observed the daily routine of the teaching staff and the students at this school, and took part in it briefly.
Besteak beste, ikastetxeko instalazio guztiak bisitatu ahal izan genituen eta espazio horiek zentroari ematen dizkioten aukera guztiak ezagutu genituen. Profilschule Fürstenberg-ek instalazio ikusgarriak ditu, bai kanpoan, bai barruan. Bereziki, harritu egin gintuen ikasleek, banaka edo bikoteka, modu autonomoan lan egiteko izaten dituzten txoko guztiak institutu barruan ikusteak.
Among other things, we were able to visit all the school's facilities and discover all the opportunities these spaces offer the school. Profilschule Fürstenberg has impressive facilities, both outdoors and indoors. In particular, we were particularly struck by seeing all the different spaces within the school where students can work autonomously, either individually or in pairs.
Zortea izan genuen, halaber, zehaztasunik galtzen ez genuen klase mordo batean sartu ginelako, beti baitago zerbait berria eta interesgarria Profilschule Fürstenberg-eko irakasleen metodologian, gure ikastetxean bikain aplika daitekeena; estrategiak, jardunbide egokiak, baliabide didaktiko benetan erabilgarriak eta ideia oso interesgarriak, ziur asko irakasle gisa egiten dugun lanean lagunduko digutenak.
Modu sinbolikoan, gure ikasleen errendimendua eta autonomia hobetzeko gure egunerokotasunean ziur guztiok erabil ditzakegun teknika pare bat aipatu nahiko genituzke.
We were also lucky to attend a whole lot of classes where we didn't miss a single detail, as there is always something new and interesting in the teaching methodology of the teachers at Profilschule Fürstenberg that can be applied in our own school methodology; strategies, best practices, genuinely useful teaching resources and very interesting ideas, which will certainly help us in our work as teachers.
Exceptionally, we would like to mention a couple of techniques that we can all surely use in our day-to-day work to improve our students' performance and autonomy.

Teknika bat autobus geltokiarena da. Zertan datza? Gelako atean autobus geltokiaren seinalea zintzilikatzen da. Ikasle batek bere zeregina amaitu duenean, autobus geltokira hurbildu eta beste bat zeregina amaituta iritsi arte itxaroten du. Elkartu egingo dira biak, emaitzak egiaztatu eta zuzentzeko. Ondoren, irakasleak ematen dien kontrol zerrenda batekin zuzentzen dute zeregina.
One of them is the bus stop technique. What does it consist of? A bus stop sign is hung on the classroom door. When a student has finished their task, they go to the bus stop and wait for another student who has also finished. The two then meet to check and correct each other's work. Afterwards, they correct the task using a checklist provided by the teacher.

Beste teknikak zerikusi handiagoa du ikasgelako mahaien antolaketarekin. Geletako batean, Matthias Schäfers-en matematika klasean alegia, mahai gehienak paretaren kontra jarrita daude, baina pare bat elkarrekin daude gelaren erdian. Zertarako? Modu autonomoan lan egin dezaketen ikasleak hormaren kontra dauden mahaietan eseriko dira. Hala ere, laguntza behar dutenak ikastetxean dauden mahaietara hurbilduko dira laguntza hori jasotzeko eta irakaslea hor egongo da haien zain.
The other technique has more to do with the organisation of the desks in the classroom. In one of the classrooms, namely in Matthias Schäfers's maths class, most of the desks are placed against the wall, but a couple are pulled together in the middle of the room. Why? Students who can work independently will sit at the desks sitting against the wall. However, those who need help will go to the desks in the centre of the room to receive it, and the teacher will be there waiting for them.
Salbuespen gisa, irakasleen prestakuntzako tailer oso interesgarri batean parte hartu ahal izan genuen. Tailerrean, ikasle batekin gatazka bat nola konpondu ikasi genuen, arazo bihurtu ez zedin. Esperientzia hori komunikazio-erronka bihurtu zen, tailer osoa alemanez egin zelako. Zorionez, itzulpen lan eskerga izan genuen Alemaniako zentroko bi lankideen eskutik: Lisa Freyk eta Nico Wicker.
As an exception, we were able to take part in a very interesting workshop on teacher training. In the workshop, we learnt how to resolve a conflict with a student before it escalated into a bigger problem. This experience became a communication challenge, as the entire workshop was conducted in German. Fortunately, we had the invaluable help of two colleagues from the German centre: Lisa Frey and Nico Wicker.
Irakasle Gela
Eta nola ez? lankideen arteko harreman onaren lekuko ere izan ginen, baita haien laguntzeko eta elkarreragiteko moduaren lekuko ere. Elkarreragin horren zati handi bat irakasleen gelan egiten da, non irakasleak mailaka antolatzen diren. Ikasleei buruzko informazioa eta egunean zehar gertatutakoei buruzko iritziak trukatzeko uneak. Elkar agurtzeko eta une onak ospatzeko eta hain onak ez direnetan laguntzeko unea ere bada.
Areto horretan, irakasleen gelan hain zuzen ere, izan genuen guk ere aukera zentroaren antolaketari eta, oro har, Alemaniako hezkuntza-sistemari buruzko ezagutzan askoz gehiago sakontzeko. Geneukan edozein une aprobetxatzen genuen eskolaren funtzionamenduari, eskola-saioei, irakasleen lanari eta abarri buruz ahal genuen guztia ikertzeko.
We also witnessed the good relationships between colleagues, as well as the way they support and interact with one another. A large part of this interaction takes place in the teachers' room, where teachers are organised by year group. It's a time to exchange information about the students and share opinions on what has happened during the day. It is also a time to say hello, to celebrate the good moments and to support one another through the bad ones.
In that room, the teachers' room, we also had the opportunity to delve much deeper into our knowledge of the organisation of the centre and, more generally, the German education system. We took every opportunity to find out as much as we could about the running of the school, lessons, the teachers' work, and so on.
Ikusi ditugun gauza asko gustatu zaizkigula esan behar dugu. Izan ere, batzuk liluratu egin gaituzte eta gustatuko litzaiguke gure klaustrora transmititu ahal izatea, egunen batean praktikan jarri ahal izateko. Horietako bat, ziurrenik ikastetxeko ikaskideen arteko elkarbizitza hobetu eta aberastuko lukeena, irakasle berberek asteartean ikastetxean antolatu zuten bazkaria da. Irakasle bakoitzak zerbait prestatu behar zuen etxean eta ikastetxera ekarri, denen artean partekatzeko. Bazkaria eskolako sarrera nagusiaren barruan egin zen, non irakasle guztiak elkartu ziren hainbat jakiz gozatzeko. Aitortu behar dut nire lankide Ianire ausartu egin zela plater bakoitzarekin; ni neurritsuagoa izan nintzen, eta zuzenean joan nintzen karbohidratoetara. Esan beharrik ez dago dena oso gozo zegoela. Edonola ere, uste dugu keinu txiki bat dela, lankide guztien ongizatearen alde pila bat egin lezakeena.
We must say that we liked many of the things we saw. In fact, some of them fascinated us, and we would like to be able to pass them on to our staff so that they can be put into practice one day. One of these, which would probably improve and enrich the coexistence between the pupils, was the lunch that the same teachers organised at the school on Tuesday. Each teacher had to prepare something at home and bring it to the school to share with everyone. The lunch was held inside the main entrance of the school, where all the teachers gathered to enjoy a variety of dishes. I must admit my colleague Ianire was adventurous with each dish; I was more restrained and went straight for the carbohydrates. Needless to say, everything was delicious. In any case, we believe it's a small gesture that could do a great deal for the well-being of all our colleagues.
Zorionez, kulturaz eta, nola ez, inguruko gastronomiaz gozatzeko une pare bat ere izan genituen. Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum-era bisita interesgarri bat, gidari xarmangarri eta gogotsu baten eskutik, Extremadurako Belen gure lagun berria, eta beste bat, aurrekoa bezain interesgarria, Kreismuseum Wewelsburg-era bisita.
Fortunately, we also had a couple of moments to enjoy the culture and, of course, the local cuisine. An interesting visit to the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, led by a charming and enthusiastic guide, our new friend from Extremadura, Belén, and another interesting visit to the Kreismuseum Wewelsburg.
Bisita hau oso interesgarria izan da, eta, zalantzarik gabe, ez zen gauza bera izango gure anfitrioien laguntzarik gabe: Lena Tewes eta Katharina Frigger. Esan behar dugu hasiera-hasieratik tratu bikaina eman digutela eta mugikortasunaren antolaketa ezin hobea izan dela. Eskerrik asko guztiagatik! Profileschule Fürstenberg-eko beste kide batzuen laguntza eta babesa ere ez ditugu alde batera utzi nahi; bereziki, eskerrak eman nahi dizkiogu Lisa Frey-ri bere denbora eta dedikazioagatik eta beti irribarre batekin erantzuten diolako guztiari. Eskerrik asko eta Bilbon ikusiko zaituztegu!
LASTER ARTE!!
This visit has been very interesting, and it certainly would not have been the same without the help of our hosts, Lena Tewes and Katharina Frigger. We must say that they have treated us exceptionally well from the very beginning, and the organisation of our mobility has been impeccable. Thank you for everything! We also don't want to leave out the help and support of the other members of Profileschule Fürstenberg; in particular, we would like to thank Lisa Frey for her time and dedication and for always responding to everything with a smile. Thank you, and we'll see you in Bilbao!
SEE YOU SOON!!
APIRILAK 9 Klaustroarekin bilera
Gure klaustroarekin han bizitako momentuak laburbiltzen saiatu gara. Han ikasitakoa eta ekarritakoarekin aurkezpen bat prestatu dugu eta gure irakaslegoari aurkeztu, oso modu desberdinean erreakzionatu dute Alemaniako hezkuntza sistemaren berri izan dutenean!
We have tried to summarise the moments we experienced there with our staff. We have prepared a presentation with what we had learnt and brought back, and presented it to our teaching staff; they reacted in very different ways when they heard about the German education system!
Postdata: Hitz ematen dugu urrian, ikastetxea bisitatzen dugunean, ez dugula ahaztuko gure ikasleei gomendatzea institutuko zuzendariak, Irmhild Jakobi-Reike andreak, hain gustuko duen Kirche an der Burg bisitatzeko! Wink Wink!
P.S. We promise that, when we visit the school in October, we will not forget to recommend to our students that they visit the “Kirche an der Burg”, which the headmistress, Mrs Irmhild Jakobi-Reike, is so fond of! Wink wink!
