This week's task is to design, simulate, and build a simple electronic device that performs two actions. So , i choose to make a small toy "Carousel"
to build and simulate my circuit before making it IRL
to wire it all up
To glue cardboard
To prototype the carousel
I'll use it to simulate the movement
as i used it to make the armature for the eye
crocodile wires
used for making electrical connections
for building temporary circuits
I use 5 because the 9-volt adapter will give high voltage than i want
Open Tinkercad and click on create tab and select circuit
Use the bar on the right to search for the components Search for the first component "breadboard" then drag it
Then drag the rest of the components of the circuit
power supply
light bulb
hobby gear motor
slide switch
connect them parallel
Prepare all the electric circuit components to build the circuit.
Build the circuit as designed on Tinkercad. After powering the circuit, the light are connected in parallel with the motor and the On/Off switch is tagged along the circuit.
Press the On switch, the circuit is working perfectly.
figure out if the circle fits the motor movement
make cylinder
hole for the wire
put it into the hole
put the switch in the hole
Start making the cardboard enclosure with the right dimensions to hold the circuit.
make the horse shapes in the cardboard and put it in the wood stick-make holes to make the light get through it
first i use the dc motor but it gives so much power than i want so i replace it with the yellow geared motor
i use a buzzer at the first but the sound of the motor is high than it so i replace it with light
When I inserted the components into the cylinder, I discovered that I needed to create a space for the motor and raise it above the cylinder to accommodate the circle.
I had the issue that when I placed the column in the center, it was too heavy to move the motor, so I replaced it with another that is smaller than
Next time, I'll make the base greater than the circle to ensure stability, regardless of whether the axis is in the middle or not.
In the final project, I need to make sure that the components have a location to retain each one of them in tts place to ensure that the movement is smooth.
When creating a product, we don't need to add many features or make it complicated; instead, we can create a product that is more functional and effective than the others
Through design, fabrication, wiring, and component integration, we construct a basic Sumo RC car. and take against other in a Sumo Car competition! We practice because we completed earlier than the other teams since the design is too simple. We are the smallest, which is why we won the fight. It has an angle that allows it to carry the cars, and the wheels are inside it, making it safe. The other teams put the wheels outside, which is a weak point, we target it.
