Week #1 - Journal

I will use Prusa 3d printer because it will provide the essential texture and flexibility to achieve the design of the spiral cone.

1. first I chose the red plastic filament and put it above the prusha 3d printer.

2. I loaded the nozzle with plastic filament

3. I put the scan disk which contains the design sliced on cura with extension .gcode into the printer and chose it on the screen.

4. then the printer started to fabricate. 

1. first I switched the laser cutting machine.

2. I switched the vacuum on

3. I put the design on the computer connected to the machine then i pressed download

4. I put the wood card inside the machine & holded it with wood clips then chose the design on the screen of laser cutting machine

5. I pressed start  and the laser started to cut and scan the design

I faced some troubles during choosing the design and how to describe the process through which i could fabricate the designs and I asked Farida El Abbany (my instructor) and she helped me to choose a design which full fill the criteria of the weekly assignment .

• I have started to learn how to fabricate 3d printing model and the ability to scan, speed cut & cut the wood card so I can use it to fabricate the race track and gates.

• when i will learn the arduino i will ad sensors to control the gates.
