As an Engineering Student I in stressed permanently so I Searched for Collapsable models and Found This cool Santa hat To play with and help reduce stress, I doubt it😢😂
Laser Cut
Also as an Engineering Student😸I'm just joking. After long search in 3axis.co This coaster appeared in front of me, and I liked its shape and I could color it, so I chose this design
FOR 3D print
UltiMaker Cura software For Design
Creality ender 3 v2 Machine For Fabrication
PLA Filament Material of Machine
FOR Laser Cut
Laser Cad software For Design
Malky ML64 Machine For Fabrication
Plywood 3mm, 50*30mm

To prepare my file ,Open file in Cura then adjust the design change parameters and Make sure each step changes by Slice After changing and choosing the appropriate one, I placed a ball support on the top of the hat and checked the time and number of grams
َQuality(Profile): 0.28 Support:Normal Infill: 20% , pattern : Cubic Adhesion:active
Finally Save the file as g.code 💥
Laser Cut
To prepare my file ,First I Import File to Laser cad then adjust the design starting with the size, then ensuring that all the lines are correct and choosing the appropriate cutting shape. Finally Check Time and Simulation.
Size: 90*90mm Cut: Speed10, power60-65 Engrave: Speed300, Power40 Speed Cut: Speed200, power25-30
Finally Save the file as DXF 💥

Before Fabricate on 3D-Printer, I Check all parameters With the technician in the lab, When looking at the shape, he recommended that I remove the support from the shape because it would not be needed and try to see the shape of the layers and how they will be built.
then save file as g.code and save to memory to fabricate
On 3D-Printer I choose the file for my model and set the nozzle temperature at 215, bed temperature at 50
3D Model take : 9gram 57min

Before Fabricate on Machine, I Check all parameters With the technician in the lab, especially the engrave mode Because that's what causes the most problems, He taught me a new option that is more accurate in seeing the engraved (Simulating show objects engraving) can active by these steps : click Options> work space> Simulating show objects engraving
then save file as DXF to Fabricate on machine. After that, I make sure the safety factors of the machine, the extractor, and the Chiller are in place and start the machine. finally, put work sheet in machine and set origin and click start.
2D model take: 15min area: 90*90mm

I Used brim was better not to use it because the shape is circles and there is a separation between them, so the brim connected them to each other, and I faced a problem in separating them and removing the brim.
Another problem But with the filament is that it is moist from the inside. The technician told us and we know this problem through the appearance of the layers, which are not smooth, and from the sound of the filament in the nozzle. The solution for moist filament is to heat it to release the moisture or increase the printing temperature slightly if the moisture level is minimal.

In lab when use simulation or (Simulating show objects engraving) The engraving was not done as I specified, and this means that there were lines that were not connected to each other, so I identified the lines and brought them closer together, and I click> Tool >unite line>ok, and this selection connected them together.

The Coolest Thing is Santa hat and Spido❤️
The thing I loved most this week was learning what was new. I had previously worked on a laser and a 3D printer, but I learned more things and it became clearer and more professional to me. One of the things I was most happy about was that I got to know Mahmoud Walid, the technician. He is very passionate and understands the 3D printer, and this made me happy. I take care of many things that I have never tried or taken I'm tired of it
