The objective of week #5 was to design an electric circuit to mimic an electric fan with LED. The circuit is controlled used three buttons.
I got inspiration from Google as seen in the pics.
I used TinkerCad to build and simulate the electronic circuit. Then, I used the electronic kit to build the actual circuit. For the mounting of the electric components, I used cardboards.
Electric components includes:
Push buttons
Electric Fan
Led
Adaptor
The designing process of the circuit
I opened TinkerCad and inserted the breadboard, first.
I inserted a powersource and adjusted the voltage to 5V.
I connected the negative and positive terminals to the negative and positive lanes of breadboard.
Then, I placed three buttons and connected them parallelly.
I placed a fan in the breadboard, connected the positive terminal to the positive lane in the breadboard and the negative terminal to the second button.
I placed a led in the breadboard, connected the positive terminal to the positive lane in the breadboard and the negative terminal to the third button connected to a 220 ohm resistor.
Output components:
Led
Fan
The implementation process:
I took the dimensions of the fan and the led to prepare for the cardboard mounting.
I selected the components from the electronic kit.
I mounted all components as per the design.
Then, I connected the adaptor as a power source.
I placed the fan and the led inside in the cardboard design.
I tested the circuit as in the video attached.
For the mounting of the fan, I had a challenge to place the fan into a cardboard block without glowing it. Then, I made a cut exactly matching the dimensions of the fan inside the cardboard. Hence, the fan exactly fitted inside the space.
