This week’s main focus was learning how to use cardboard cutting and folding techniques, along with basic tools like scissors and glue.
The first important step was making clean, precise cuts—using a ruler and pencil to carefully plan the design before starting.
After some hands-on practice at Mansoura Creativa and valuable guidance from Hazem (a talented model maker),
I teamed up with Alshimaa to develop an idea: designing a smart lamp using cardboard with a user interface.
The lamp features motion detection, so it turns on automatically when someone approaches.
It can also be controlled through a smartphone app, allowing users to switch it on or off and adjust the RGB lighting colors.
The lamp is composed of multiple triangular layers stacked on top of each other, each rotated 45 degrees. This creates a stunning, dynamic lampshade design with a visually striking geometric effect.
