As industrial designer and lover for arts, I have many different types of pencil colors, so I decided to make an organizer for all these colors, like white colors, and charcoal.
Software: RDWorksV8
Machine : El Malky ML149 Laser Cutter
Material: Plywood
360 fusion for 2D and3D modelling
Step 1: Using Fusion 360
Started the process by applying rules 0 (save the file) and rule1 (create a new component)
I made two main new components, "tallest organiser" and "base faces"
Every main component has a lot of components in it
I then created text and added it to the design.
I extruded the design by 3mm.
I created 4 copies of that face (each body as a separate component)
Used the "assemble" tool to join all the four faces together "joint".
I used projection to facilitate making common parts in the design
I used the tool text to write in the front part of the second part
I used appearance feature WOOD
I made the sketches fully defined
Exported the file as a DXF file by exporting every face on its own

To laser cut my DXF file, I opened it on my PC and connected my PC to the laser cutter.
Added the following parameters to RDworks:
Cut/ speed: 40 and power: 45
Speed cut /speed: 300 and power: 10
. I turned on the laser cutter, then inserted my plywood sheet inside of it and kept it fixed by the connectors.
I pressed "download" in RDworks and named the file "holder".
I then went to the laser cutter, pressed file, then i chose the file. After that, I chose the place that would be the origin point by moving the nosle. Then, I pressed "origin ". After that, I pressed the frame to indicate the frame of the hole design. I made the design into two steps because it took sheet and a half from polywood
. Finally,I closed the glass door of the laser cutter and then pressed "start".

first sheet
There were faces with the same design, so my friend told me to save one face as a DXF file. When I put it in RDWorks, I could copy it.
The sheet didn't cut well because the connectors obstruct the laser for cutting, so after finishing, the FabLab specialist told me to indicate the uncut part with a different color"green," and made it cut and the other parts make the output" no "so it will not recut
The angled part didn't fit the opened part because there was a problem in the dimensions of these parts
The first problem: the saved DXF for laser cutting didn't read the extrude cut of the two squares, but I handled the problem by using the t slot , the screw and nut to fix the parts
I think I will never forget reviewing the sketches in RDworks also not depending on fusion, only to avoid forgetting the captive nut
making a lamp in the session
The extra session was creative, it was talking about laser cutting on fabric. Actually, we can cut designs on a type of fabric named "Felt Fabric" "قماش جوخ", using laser cutting machine
