3d print
The idea of 3D printing a to-do list snail came from one of my favourite cartoons, SpongeBob. My favorite character is Gary, who in Arabic is (سريع). The funniest thing is that, even though it is an animal that is regularly slow, it is named with a name opposite to its character.
Like me, I'm slow at doing things, even though I complete all my to-do list items, for which I made a to-do list snail.

I have loved flowers since I was a kid. it makes me calm and feel good. I have decided to make a laser-cut flower coaster.

3D printing
To create the snail, I chose the design from (Thingiverse), I found a well-designed model in the correct format (.STL) that fit the project’s needs.
Next, I prepared the 3D model for printing using slicing software.
Supports: I didn't need to put any support
Layer Height: 0.2
Infill: 10%
Brim: I removed it because the surface area was enough.
Time: 1h 3min .
Grams: 9 g.
Material: PLA

A laser-cut flower coaster :
I chose the design from (3axis.co).
I found the file with Cdr. I changed it to dfx by (Convert CDR to DXF Online — Free & Fast | AnyConv )
Using RDworks, I had already decided which areas would be scanned or cut.
Cut areas: had speed of: 25 and power of: 65
Scan areas: had a speed of: 300 and the power of: 25

3D Printing Process
3D Printer Setup:
The design was printed using purple PLA filament, The G-code file was transferred to the 3D printer via a memory card and its reader.
The printer bed was leveled, and the filament was loaded before starting the print.
Laser Cut Process:
I turned on the laser cutter and then ensured that I inserted my plywood sheet inside and kept it steady using the connectors for 3 mm.
I pressed "download" in RDworks and named the file "FLOWER COASTER".
I then went to the laser cutter and moved the nosle until it reached the place where the printing would start, I then pressed "PULS" to make sure that i will cut in the right place " the after making sure i pressed "origin"
I pressed "frame" to see where the design will be placed
I made sure I closed the glass door of the laser cutter and then pressed "start".
It took 5minutes.

The feedback was good. They liked my project. One of the peers explained to me how the fan speed affects the 3d modelled project, and the Fab Lab Specialist advised me to use the hot air or glue gun to fix the defects that the machine made.
The challenge was that we set the fan speed to 250, but it didn't work, and the PLA filament was full of humidity, which caused the snail to contain a lot of threads. The parts that were cut to put the paper were closed. The Fab Lab Specialist told me to expose the snail to hot air, remove the threads, and try to open the closed parts.

It was the first time for me to make a 3d printed object, and we made a small Terex.
