The first part of this week's assignment was creating Cool Glasses for my personal use. My glasses design must be a mixed design.
Create a 2D Sketch of the front face of your glasses in Fusion 360 consisting of a singular part. (Make sure that the sketches are fully defined).
Create a 3D model of the side arms of your glasses in Fusion 360 consisting of a singular part each.
Inspired by this beautiful butterfly, I try to make cool glasses.
The butterfly represents freedom and freedom, enthusiasm for life, and joy in their wonderful colors.

this link helped me to confirm a suitable size for glasses.
The software helped me to design and present my idea.

First step design & 3D molding
STEP 1
At first, I developed an initial design in which I made one of the butterfly’s wings the shape of the lens.
I opened Fusion 360 and made the first rule which save a file.
free hand sketch
STEP 2
starting with the front piece which a laser cutting machine will cut.
first, I sketched the front plan and started drawing my sketch by using the size in the reference
I should Make sure that the sketch is fully defined.
STEP 3
I made an offset to the line but I found a problem which is it can't offset out than 2mm because it can't save the shape details.
To solve this problem I made a scaleup copy to line.
After that made a mirror axe to mirror this shape which will be the second lens.
Next, I added some details to make it more cool.
after that, I made a bridge between to lenses according to the picture size by drawing two circles and trimming unused parts.
Finally, I located the screw.
In the end, I saved this sketch as a dxf file to send it to laser work to paper for cutting.
I made an extrude to simulate the final shape.
STEP 4
Start this piece by sketching on the first piece's surface.
Then I projected to circle's center and drew a circle of 3.3mm diameter and another one of 6.3mm diameter.
I made a tangent line to a 6.3mm circle and made another one parallel to the first.
I extruded this part and felt the edges.
This part of the arm is the one to which the screw is attached.
STEP 5
I sketched on the side of the new part to make a side of hand.
according to the picture, the hand length is 140mm.
On the back surface, I sketched a new sketch to draw the section that I sweep it.
after setting the sweep, I sketched on the back surface of the sweep and drew a circle with the same size circle diameter as the end of the sweep.
After that, I sweep the circle to the end of the curve.
At the end of the second sweep, I sketched and drew have circle to revolve it and felt all edges.
STEP 6
I made a plane offset side plane by 5mm to make it mirror the hand and I mirrored it.
finally, I wrote my name "Omnia Siah" on one side and extruded cut it, and on the other side wrote, " Gaza is our butterfly".
In the end, save bodies of hands as stl.
Second Preparing for laser cutting and 3D printing
STEP 1
Use Laserworke Software to prepare the rld file.
I insert the file and set lines cooler to set which aria to cut and which to scan.
STEP 2
choose lines that are speed cut and are which is scan.
parameter:
cut power 👉 55 speed 👉 30
scan power 👉 25 speed 👉 300
speed cut power 👉 12 speed 👉 300
STEP 3
After confirming all the settings for the printing process and reviewing the printing method, we come to the file-saving stage.
saving by clicking save which is found on the left-up screen.
choose the folder and name it by writing details rld or ai extension.
STEP 4
I import the STL file into Cura to set sitting.
It will take 1 hour and 15 minutes and 12.413 grams.
Press preview.
Start adjusting my parameters:
1- resolution: 0.2mm Height & 3 wall line count.
2- Infill: I adjusted infill to 10%. with a Gyroid pattern.
3- support: tree support.
4-Build plate adhesion brim style.
First 3D Printing
With the help of a specialist in the lab. I took these steps.
We confirm is all settings are ok.
We unloaded the filament that was in Prusa and loaded another one.
I choose the file and press to start.
it takesd time to prepare it after printing.

Second laser cutting
With the help of a specialist in the lab. I took these steps.
We confirm is all settings are ok.
I downloaded a file on a PC that contact with the laser machine.
I placed the piece of wood on the machine and made sure it was securely attached.
I set an origin point and made sure it was suitable by firm bottom.
I had a problem with finishing the process of a 3D part because I chose the wrong position to print.
it takes more time to finish the piece.
I used a file to remove the growths on the arms of the glasses.
Finally, I used a heat gun to get a smoother surface.
It helped me to know how to simulate ideas in my brain to the final product can be used.
It was nice to work with a great team to make this nice bookmark.
and learning how to join parts without making a bad appearance.
