For this week's assignment, we will be making a mixed design glasses. Using the knowledge we acquired in week 1, we will be able to make the design on Fusion 360 and fabricate the project using the laser cutter and 3D printer.
The idea came to me from the glasses I use to shoot my videos.

Laser Cutting
1st I drew the face of the glasses according to international measurements and designed it for laser cutting in Fusion.
Steps are as follow:
A circle was drawn in the center and a dimension of 40 mm (standard) was set as shown.
Then I drew one of the gear teeth using a line from the create menu.
I used a Circular pattern feature to draw the gear around the middle of the circle.
then the whole shape was copied 17mm far beside it.
For the bridge of the glasses, a 7.25 radius arch was used and was copied upwards again.
Then the hole circles for assembling the arms were drawn and their dimensions determined.
2nd Using RDWorks software to prepare the shape for manufacturing on the laser machine.
cut ( speed : 30 , power : 65 )
3rd I saved the file as "ai".
4th I downloaded the file to the machine, and it printed it..
3D printing
1st I drew the arms of the glasses according to international measurements and designed them for 3d printing in Fusion and downlaod as DXF.
Steps are as follow:
The arm middle line was drawn and dimension according to standard.
Using the SpLine feature, the back of the arm was drawn.
I used extrude to make the design 3D.
I used fillet (0.3mm) to make the design not sharp.
2nd I opened it on Cura, and changed the settings.
Resolution : 0.2mm
Infill : 20%
support type : Normal
No brim
parameter : 184 mm * 10mm
3rd I saved the file as "steampunkglasses_4G_36min_Black_g_code'' .
4th I printed it.

I used the fillet feature ( 0.3 mm) to make the edges not sharp.
Laser Cutting ( El Malky ML149 CO2 Laser Cutter )
How I used it?
1) Make sure that the file you're printing is yours. 2) Put your plywood sheet.
3) Put the magical tool that holds your sheet. 4) Adjust the focal length.
5) Choose the place you want to print by using arrows. 6) Make it the origin point.
7) Click on "frame" to detect the size. 8) Click on "start" to cut.
3D Printing ( PRUSA i3 MK2 3D Printer )
How I used it?
1) Put the file on the reader.
2) Choose the file on the printer.
3) Choose ''preheat'', and I wanted to change the filament color, so I clicked on ''unload filament'' after the bed was heated.
4) Adjust the filament, as it needs to be pointed -Cut it to 45 degrees-.
5) Choose "Load filament'', make sure you see the Color.
6) Click "print".
The design was as shown in the image, but the specified part broke after printing due to its weakness.
It has been manually improved and is now as shown in the image.
