Mario 3d printing
First :
I pick a 3D model from open source
CAD library (Thingiverse),
The printing time is less than 90 minutes.
The 3D model is sliced at the proper parameter.
I like Mario and everything for kids
I want to make kids' toys as a business.
3d printer :
Software :
I used "Ultimaker cura " software .
Materials :
I'll use Filament PLA .
Machine
Prusa i3 mk3 machine it's a good one .
Laser Cutting Machine :
Software :
I used " Laser work " software.
Materials :
wood material 3mm .
Machine :
El Malky ML1390 CO2 Laser Cutter.
3d printing Machine
Machine : Cutting laser
3d printer :
This week's journey began with a Google search for the appropriate design
At the Thingiverse location specified in the requirements
According to the requirements, the file .stl
I used the Cura program to open the file and set the Resolution draft 0.2mm and Infill 20 % like requirements for the time printing and Grams
And I make the temperature 215 degrees
According to the attached pictures
finally, I save file *.gcode files of the model after slicing
I transferred it to my memory
And put it in the 3D printer
Laser Cutting Machine:
The journey started by selecting the design from the selected site (3axis.co)
It is designed for laser cutting machines .Dxf file
I used laser work software.
modified the file where you found unwanted lines
Dimensions are set to fit the cutting area
The 2D model is prepared for laser cutting at proper settings for cutting and engraving
According to the standard specified in the requirements and as shown in the picture
Then I saved the file rld & rd
Attached files and images
3d Printing
I went to the Fab Lab in my slot time
I have a laptop and design files
The specialist looked at the file on my device
I made a review the file, review the Slice, and the print time
and make a copy to the memory card
I found it according to the attached picture,
9 grams - 71minutes
I chose Infill 20 And profiles 0.2 mm
And set the print temperature setting to 215 C
And save the file to memory .gcode
I turned on the printer and waited for it to warm up then print it
Laser Cutting Machine
I prepared the *DXF
and make rd file
And simulate cutting
Preparing the file
settings for cutting and engraving
engraving : scan - speed 250 - power 20
cutting : cut - speed 25 - power 65
Then download the file to the machine
And put the wood sheet at the origin of the machine
And press on the frame To check the cut area on the wood sheet
Then close the machine door and press run
3d Printer
I found it challenging when using a 3D printer
Filament is not drawn into the machine
Where I learned with the specialist that I need to cut the Filament at an angle and insert it until it is pulled from the mouth
I also found it challenging that the 3D printer printed irregularly like the image
And it was treated with the help of the specialist by changing the settings to Brim not to Skirt - so the printer succeeded and the design came out in the appropriate manner, and pictures are attached
Laser Cutting Machine
I found a simple challenge, which is that the laser machine is different, and the cutting will be on the new machine, the dimensions are different, and the program is different
I opened the file from the beginning and did the steps again
We also used the command to specify the presence of lines on top of each other to take into account the cutting process
A challenge that I will address in the next cut. The tree that I cut was about to separate from each other as a result of raising the solid line in the tree. I needed to take into account this design or draw, not cut in narrow places.
Now, God willing, I can use what I made in the final project
As I learned about the ability of the laser machine or printer to do things
And I will use these capabilities to make my project come out wonderfully
Where I can make a box and engrave, cut and draw on it
Also, I can make a printed button that expresses its function with a 3D printer
This is a special and wonderful week in which
I learned a lot
The most wonderful thing is that I hold the final product in my hands in the form in my imagination and I find it better whether Printing or cutting
This week I used a Printing 3d and a cutting Laser for the first time
I used a set of programs such as Cura, Fusion 360 and LaserWork.
Preparation for the final project ( Fan )
