I have chosen to design the plant that contains the plant so that I can place it on my desk next to it, as it is a nice thing that rejuvenates activity when looking at the greenery and roses

Which software/machines/materials did you use in the assignment? Why?

Software Design

I used the Laserwork program to determine the dimensions of the design that I downloaded from the Internet, and to determine the length of the engraving and the method of cutting it

We chose Matril wood to carry out the design, and the thickness of the wood was 3 M

We have chosen the ultimaker cura program in order to make slices for the design, choose the dimensions needed for printing, and specify the printing machine and the material to be printed with.

Design/Preparation Process

Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?

I have inserted the file that you downloaded into the Laserwork program in order to modify the required sizes and modify the parts to be cut and to be drilled etc. and I have set the cutting speed and power so that the cutting is in a professional manner as we can see

I have included the file I downloaded on Ultimaker Cura In order to adjust the required sizes, adjust the temperature, the amount of internal filling, and make slices for the design

we make sitting as:

1-Layer Hight=0.3mm

2-infill density= 10%

3-infill pattern=Grid

4-printing temperature=215 degree

5-Build plate temperature=60 degree

and the finish you must save the file on Disk to take to a 3D machine to print it

whole save the file don't miss to save as G-code because the machine can understand the file to print it

Development/Implementation Process

Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

in 2D fabricating

the first step we should turn on the machine by the botton as picture

the second step we import the file from the pc

the third step we resize the file to the size you want to cut it

the fourth step we are setting the power and speed for the machine to cut professional and press a download the file to download to the machine.

the fifth step we move the stick of laser to choose the point to origin.

As you see we choose the point till as origin point

the sixth step we press from the button machine origin to make the point to origin.

the seventh step we press from the button machine pulse to check pulse is good or bad

As you see we can you different between a bad or good Dot

the eighth step we choose the file from memory file by press to file button and enter to memory file.

the ninth step we choose the file which the cut by machine

the tenth step we press to track Frame to check the a stick of laser does not walk Outside frame.

the eleventh step we press to worktime preview to show the time to take the cut operation.

finally step we press to Run to run the operation cut and see the project create in front of you.

Overcoming Challenges

What kinds of challenges or problems did you face while doing the assignment, tutorials, or exercises? How did you solve them? Did you ask for help from an instructor or peer? Please provide a link to the tutorial or article that you used to solve your problem (if any)

The Challenge

1- It was not know how to deal with the program, as it was something new to me

2- In addition to choosing the file format, it was not known in my mind that I should choose it in the DXF file format, knowing that it is written among the cement requirements

The solution :

was to search on YouTube for how to deal with the program, and there were many videos that describe the solutions in addition to the videos that were present on the portal, and also I discovered while searching for how the program works.

As we can see in the pictures, there are different file formats for you to download

I have learned that it is not shameful to make mistakes, but it is shameful to keep making the same mistake

Tell us about any other cool things that you've made this week: in the Hands-on activity, tutorial examples, exercises, or any other cool mini-project that you tried out aside from the assignment.

We did a simple job, which is laser engraving a dog medallion. It was more than wonderful. We made engravings in some parts, while the rest we cut the edges until it came out like this.
