This week's assignment was to design, simulate, and build a simple electronic device that performs two actions
why this design?
I chose this idea because of my love for making activities to develop children's skills
inspiration
Idea sketch of MR BUZZ
electronic component :
jumber wires
adabtor 5 V
ON/OFF switch
buzzer
led
resistor
prototyping :
using cardboard
software :
thinker cad to simulate the circuit
using thinkercad
using thinkercad to simulate the circuit and make sure that my connection is okay by using breadboard , power supply with 5V , then connect it to the breadboard then i put the led with 220 ohm resistor , then conect the buzzer finally connect on/off switch
use breadoard
use power supply and push button
connect ground and power
use buzzer and connect power and ground
use 2 led with resistor , connect resistors to positive
the buzzer and two leds in parallel connection
final circuit
I used parallel connection because It is better as the used voltage is the same in all branches , if one component burn the other branches will be working and the total resistance in parallel is less than the smallest resistance in the circuit
thinkercad simulation
start to build the module
first step :
used electronics components (bread board - on/off switch - mini buzzer - led - resistor- crocodile wires - jumper wires - power supply ( adapter 5V) ) to build my circuit
used adabtor 5v because buzzer need 5 v to work not 9v
second step
start to cut the cardboard to build the body and make the space of ON/OFF switch
third step
start to build the body with the circuit and make sure that the connection is right , then used old wire to make game curves and the hook
to make the circuit in the body :
First, I put breadboard inside the box & connect jumper wires with positive & negative
then connect the two leds ,I connected red and white led with resistor the leds poniting that the game is ON
I connected buzzer negative side with negative of power and the positive side with the hock of the game
I connected one side of switch bottom with positive , other side with the wire hand of the game and I put the switch bottom in the side of cardboard
finally connected the curves wire of the game to positive of power
Final result
Before
In the beginning, I used a nail, but the thickness of the nail is very large, so it caused great resistance, which led to the buzzer not working efficiently.
After
I resorted to using an electric cable and cut off the insulator to make the hock
the previous knowledge and skills I had learned this week will reflect a lot of benefits on the final project, for instance,
knowing electronic components
how to build circuit
using thinkercad to simulate the circuit
gamification challenge ONE
design in fusion
fabrication
final result
7 segment circuit
