Drawing 2D glasses (Using Fusion 360)
Glasses Frame Fully Defined
I watched and applied all the explanatory videos and implemented the design in two stages. The first stage was a half-body design for the glasses body, then in the second stage I made a mirroring of what is shown in the picture.
First, I started drawing the first part of the glasses, which is the part of the lenses and the bridge, and I made a drawing of only half of the drawing in two dimensions, then I made a mirroring, using Fusion 360 software, and after I finished, I saved the file with the DXF extension to import it from the Laser wok Software for cutting and shaping.
Secondly, I designed the arms of the glasses Sketching in a two-dimensional way, then I Extrude the arms of glasses and I developed the design to take into account the ergonomics and the presence of a slope in the arm of the glasses to fit with the ear. I also made a fillet to reduce any friction between the glasses and the body, after that I make a mirroring for the rim of the glasses and used appearance to be ABS white , and I exported the file with the extension STL to include it in the Cura software for printing on 3D printing machinery
This week I faced many challenges, although I applied all the exercises and explanations, but in making glasses I overcame some challenges and did not succeed in others
The challenges that stopped me are trying I was also tried to mirror the arm of the glasses after I made the design and the Extrude then Fillet, but I was unable to make a mirroring for the rim, then return to the Instructor for help and guidanceو And I was able to solve the problem, and I faced another challenge that when I was doing the 3D printer settings, the temperature of the panel was 60 degrees Celsius, and therefore when I started doing the printing, one of the arms of the glasses was not fixed on the panel, which forced me to re-print twice. And accordingly, I changed the printer settings and performed a procedure to change the panel temperature to 70 degrees Celsius instead of 60 degrees, and the printer succeeded because of this procedure.

2D and 3D designs using Fusion 360 software is one of the pillars on which the final graduation project will be implemented.

The most pleasant thing for me was that I was able to design the temples of the glasses in a streamlined manner, taking into account the ergonomics, in addition to the aesthetic shape, which is one of the most important requirements of customers in products.
