Welcome 😊
This week we had to design, simulate, and build a simple electronic device that performs two actions.
This week our assignment is to design & simulate electronic circuit on Tinkercad for an electronic device and then build an enclosure using cardboard that simple electronic device must performs two actions.
My inspiration came from a similar project I build when I was in school.
Here it comes the "Buzz Bank $", it is a simple coin bank but when you insert a coin into the bank the bank throw a little party and start buzzing and light up the LED 🎉🥳.
Tinkercad used to design and simulate my electronic circuit.
Cardboard
Aluminum foil
Screw Terminal Block To female DC Power Adapter – 2.1mm Plug
x1
I start by using Tinkercad to design and simulate my circuit and made sure that the circuit will work.
Tinkercad Components that I used during designing:
Power Supply 5V
Mini Breadboard
Switch
Push Button
Buzzer
2x 220 Ohm Resistors
1x RGB LED
Braking Down:
I used 5V power source
I used 2x 220 Ohm resistors to reduce the voltage for the LED. One on the blue led terminal & the other on the red LED terminal and by combining the two colors Blue & Red it gives us Purple
Be Careful: While using RGB LED you must have in mind that Red color LED have maximum operating voltage of 2.4V on the other hand Green & Blue can handle up to 3.6V
Tinkercad simulation
Buzz Bank
I used the same components as on Tinkercad except the Pushbutton I replaced it with 2x aluminum foil lines on a cardboard slide that when user insert the coin it slides over that slide touching the two aluminum lines together and closing the circuit firing up the buzzer and lighting up the LED.
I build a box like encloser for the buzz bank using cardboard and cut out slots for power terminal .
Note: I used 5V DC Adaptor for my circuit as the operating voltage range of the piezo buzzer is 4-8V DC

Me and my team-mates Nihal & Ayman. We managed to design fabricate and wire Sumo RC Car "KatKot" and fight in the tournament during EoWeek Makeathon.
I asked for feedback on my circuit design from Amani and she said that it match the assignment requirement.
Also me and colleagues, we all like to talk and sharing knowledge & ideas.
❤️
I didn't test my circuit before I placed it inside the encloser so I had take it apart to troubleshot the problem and all of that due to improperly connected jumper in the breadboard 🤦🏻♂️
So please make sure to test everything before and after any change.
The skills & knowledge I have acquired this week would help me design and wire electronic circuits for my project.
7 segment connation is not hard as I thought 😍
I helped to organize and prepare for the MD22W Dish Party 🎉 that took place in Fab Lab Egypt it was great event as all of us from different groups finally come together knowing each other and communicate and having fun participating in team build activity...It was a great day ❤️
