The assignment idea is to design and fabricate a mobile phone holder by using a laser cut machine. I had many ideas for this assignment, but time didn't give me a chance to make prototypes.
1st Option
2nd Option
3rd Option
I chose the 1st option as the result of time lack but wanted to make the design with other shapes (Snail).

(1st part)
1st part:
According to Sketch, I started to design the holder.
I started with the side part, I took into consideration the joints and T-slots to make sure all the parts will be held together when it's assembled.
2nd part:
I continued to design the front, the mid-supporter, and the back.
At the front, I made the joints from up, and from the back, I made it from down.
I made the antennae of the snail some wide not to be broken.
(2nd part)
I had two problems to solve:
1st the side design wasn't fully defined.
2nd the joint parts were some wider than normal.
(Side part)
For the 1st problem, I redraw the whole part again with the aid of some videos research to know how to make it. The key was drawing some construction lines to get dimensions for the undefined parts.
For the 2nd problem,
I made the joint parts 2.8mm for all of it.
I made another jointer in the back to make it more solid and can use the mobile holder as a pencil holder as well.
(Side part)
Fusion360 (Program)
I exported the Project as ( .f3d)
LaserCAD (Program)
I opened the (.f3d) file and drew butterfly and flowers
Preparing for Laser-cut
After I finished the design, I chose the (RED) color set to cut.
Then choose the (BLUE) color set to engrave.
I downloaded the file to the Laser machine.
Get the power on, check for the lens distance on the wood sheet.
Close the glass door and start the process.

PROBLEM: I had wider joints than expected and can't joint the Mobile Holder parts together with tight.
I asked for help in #community-troubleshooting, and the aid was there.
It was weird when I made the dimension of the joints (3.2mm) as the video shown in the diploma, but it was wider than expected.
I tried (2.8 mm) and I had a great result.
Camera slider
After making this project, it would be easy to make my final project parts with joints and a great decorated finish.
How to set the engraving styles light, medium, and deep engraving in laser projects.
Rocker (chair)
My Group (M1) split into Three teams, my team was me and Eman. It was an adventure as the chair design has some tricks, especially the side design we shared the design each made a part, and the result was so great.
