the idea came from this design as simple as a cylinder with cuts in it's walls ( voronoi )
i loved the design because its so simple but catchy and easy to design from scratch
thanks to thingiverse for the inspiration
The tools I used in this design were fusion 360 for 3d design
and cura for slicing it
In this process first I sketched on the top plane the base of the model
used flange feature in sheet metal tab
extruded flange to 80mm
unfolded the sheet metal
generate voronoi using this add-in
set the right numbers to get desired view
after making sketch with voronoi extrude cut to the un folded sheet metal
folded sheet metal again to veiw it on its final shape
extruded 2m base
colored the model in render tab.
the sketch must be not closed loop to extrude it correctly
first import stl file to cura slicer
set the right scale ,infill, layer height ....etc
in this example scale :70% infill:8% supports: none layer height: 0.3mm
then export it to the sd card
select the file from printer screen then start printing
the files exported to sd card to to be inserted later in the printer
choose the file to print then wait for the printer to heat up then it'll automatically start the printing process.
I decided to exclude the idea of voronoi pen holder because i didn't know how to design it, and made an easier design that's on the left
but thanks to Maram hosny she sent me a link that demonstrated the process of making voronoi model and managed to make my model easily after watching the video
by the way check her amazing work !!
