the idea is a simple mini bot and it's called a makey robot, its like a symbol for makers and maker fair.
I got my idea and inspiration from browsing thingiverse, such a great site to get inspired !!

this amazing circular shape is obviously its inspired by the infamous Greek culture that I truly love and admire.

the software U used for laser cutting is rdworks to link between pc and laser cutter.

I used 3mm wood sheets in this process for its properties that compatible with this model of the laser cutter.

in this process I have used cura as I mentioned before then edited the setting to fit the model in the build plate and to fit time for printing (15min)
setting include ( infill, layer height, scale, wall line count )

for laser cutting I used RDworks to translate dxf. file into rld. to gcode that finally ready to be copied to machine memory to be cut

1-import the desired design to the Cura slicer
2- set the right and suitable parameters such as layer height, support....etc.
3- slice and preview to check if there are any possible mistakes
4- save g-code to Sd card
5- open the file from the printer LCD then hit print !!

1- import dxf. files to rdworks
2- orient the designs to take the minimum area of wood
3- check lines which to cut and which to scan and set the parameter
4- double check the lines in the simulator
5- export files to flash memory
6- calibrate the machine and laser focus and set origin point
7- choose the prepared file of your and select it to start cutting

the first challenge I had was with RDwork and how to specify which will be cut and which will be scanned, thanks to our instructors they helped me with this problem and guided me on how to use it the right way to prepare my design.
-to solve this problem the selected line will be colored or highlighted to choose the parameter for it then set it to the right parameter for the colors down the screen

till now i learned many things that reflects on my final project like new skills or ideas and inspiration
one of them laser cutting and how to use the machine to manufacture my design, and rdworks software to prepare the design to be manufactured
second the cardboard prototype learned me how important to prototype the idea in lo-fi before starting in making it in hi-fi or its final shape and material
