This week's assignment was to design a pen/pencil holder using Fusion 360 and 3D print it.
ODC where we learn how to make those amazing things, Is near the Egyptian museum. after fabricating last week's assignment I went there as I'm a big fan of the great ancient Egyptian civilization.
I saw very interesting vases and pots which they use in their daily life. this is how I got my inspiration.

The software used for the assignment is Fusion 360 Ultimaker Cura
The machine used for this assignment is PRUSA i3 MK2 (3D printer).
The materials used for this assignment is PLA plastic (white).

First thing first, I decided how I want the holder to look like.
I started a circle sketch the xy plane.
Then I created an offset plane and drew a polygon.
I repeated the previous process but I changed the polygon orientation.
I drew a final offset plane and then drew a circle on it.
I created a loft from the bottom to the top.
Then, I used the shell feature.
Then I did some fillet to the edges.
I added some color and material.
I then exported the body as STL.
I opened it in Ultimaker cura.
I adjusted the parameters to meet the requirements.
I then saved it to be printed
printing parameters:
Infill: 10
layer height: 0.3
Time: hour and 24 min
weight: 20 grams
I have a 70 percent understanding of Fusion 360 tools, and I guess this's very helpful to me to design my final project.
This week I had to make the session activity with Eslam, The great thing is that we went to the same college but we didn't interact during those five years. But thanks to the maker diploma activity I have a new friend. And this's something that I'll never forget.
Bs: we made the tallest tower
Khalifa's tower :D
I worked with Aya Abdeen on designing a Lego character.
It was a great experience working with Aya, she is a great partner. Pair modeling is so cool actually. It exposed me to different perspectives and points of view. It also expanded my design knowledge.
