The assignment idea for this week is to create a Pen Holder using 3D Printer , I have chose to create a minion pen Holder :D

Design Idea
We used Fusion 360 to design the phone holder , it is a CAD Software which has a one year free license with 10 Editable designs limitation .
I have used cura to slice the model.
Cura would generate the GCode which will be used to print the model using the 3D printer .

First I have searched a design on the internet the contains two features at least , then I have chose minions .
To create That Design :
I have created a circle on XY Plane .
Extruded the circle so it become a cylinder .
then I have created a tanged plane to the surface of the cylinder .
created a sketch with two circle and two circles inside , then extruded them to become the eyes .
created an offset plane on the middle and then draw a half circles on the two sides .
To create the arms I have created a tanged plane with an angle vertical to the other eye plane .
created a sketch and draw a small circle to become the shape which we will sweep .
For the strap around the eyes I have created a rectangle and created a circular pattern .
for the smile it is two arcs and extruded both in opposite sides .
After that I have exported STL Files from fusion .
Imported STL Files to CURA , and Sliced the model to be sent to the 3D Printer .
Design Process
For Laser Cutting :
I have Imported the STL file to CURA program .
I have Chose the infill to be 20% , profile 0.2 activated the adhesion and support .
I have made the model height to be 6 CM
Sliced the model and saved the G.Code .
I have used saed ideas in the session to create the model , he mentioned the fillet to be able to print the model without supports .

I have used Youtube , there was someone creating a minion I have used some ideas from what he mentions in creating the design .
I will be using 3D Printer to print the enclosure for the electronics .
Using Fusion 360 , and have the ability to design and create things from imagination is mind blowing .
