Baby Shark!

I finally made it to the beach to fish. I had a fresh stock of bait and all my gear. I was hopeful but as any fisherman will tell you, you may NOT catch any.

It was quite windy when I arrive, people were leaving in droves. It was sprinkling a bit but figured I would stay awhile. Why you may ask. Some of the quickest rainstorms I've seen I witnessed on the beach.

My fishing rig was a mess but I decided not to take the time to straighten it out, I used it as it was. On my third or fourth cast my pole took a deep bend, a telltale something was on. I had an earbud in so I could hear the scream of my drag, whatever it was it was a strong swimmer.

The downpour began as I tried pulling this guy in.  I fought for about five minutes or so as the rain and wind drenched me and my gear. I couldn't quit now, I had to pull it in. To my surprise it was a baby nurse shark.

It resembled a catfish about the mouth but I knew by the set up of the tail fins it was definitely a shark. I was so excited, took a couple of pics and let this guy go to fight another day. Get out there and EXPERIENCE LIFE!

There's nothing like catching a fish and cooking fresh at home. I love it. Not something I did as a kid but I have become quite a fisherman. I catch something almost every time I go out.

I've studied and tried several things to learn what works for me. It is actually not as expensive as you may think either. Bait is also free if you know where to find it.

If you have a fishing question, just ask, I might even reply. Blessings!
