The prepping and maintenance for BOTH spray tanning and body sculpting are key to flawless glows and maximized sculpting results. Please read below and message me with any questions you may have prior to your appointment(s).
Spray Tan Prep & Maintenance
STOP! Have you been sunburned recently or even in the last few weeks?? Please note, although you may seem healed, the damaged skin can continue to be damaged for many weeks, which can result in a less than stellar spray tan with the possibilty of it peeling in the next 24-48 hours. A peeling spray tan is unable to be resprayed and will have to be touched up and blended with makeup. Tan at your own risk.
*24 hours prior to your appointment: shower, shave and exfoliate. Do not apply any products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions, perfumes, deodorant, etc) to skin.
*Do not prep skin with any DOVE products. Dove is loaded with chemicals and also leaves a barrier on the skin, which could interfere with the development of your tan.
*Should it be absolutely neccesary for you to rinse before your appointment, please no closer than 4 hours and please use cool water. Avoid using any products. RINSE ONLY.
*Do NOT workout close to your appointment.
*Schedule manis/pedis, waxing and massages 1-2 days prior to your appointment.
*Wear loose clothing and flip flops/sandals to your appointment. (no jeans, spandex).
*Tan lines or no tan lines are a personal preference. Wear (or don't wear) whatever you are comfortable in.
*If wearing something on top, strapless bras, pasties or bikini tops work best. No bandeaus or strappy bralettes.
*Protective gear (hair covers, goggles, disposable underwear) are available upon request.
*Please have jewlery removed prior to your appointment.
*Men prep accordingly. Not all instructions may apply.
*Regular tans, rinse 8-12 hours later, (sleeping in it is okay) with cool to warm water with your hands only. Be sure to remove all the bronzer.
*Apply moisturizer after rinse.
*RAPID RINSE TANS, rinse in 1-4 hours per Jamies recommendation (same instructions for regular tan). Anything beyond her recommendation is at your own risk.
*RAPID RINSE TANS WILL FADE BEFORE THEY REACH THEIR FULL DEVELOPMENT. DO NOT PANIC WHEN YOU RINSE. Give your tan a full 24 hours to develop.
*RAPID RINSE TANS, apply moisturizer AFTER 24 hour development time.
*Do not urinate in the shower. May cause streaking.
*Pat or air dry.
*Minimize shaving/exfoliating to extend the length of your tan.
*Moisturize frequently (water based, mineral oil free, sulfate free and alcohol free works best). Avoid DOVE products. Spray Tan friendly products available for purchase.
*Stay hydrated.
*Spray tans do not protect from the sun. Please apply SPF. SunBum sunscreen in the lotion form is spray tan friendly.
Failure to follow prep and maintenance can result in issues with your spray tan which is no fault to your spray tan artist.
Body Sculpting Prep & Maintenance
*Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. Ideally up to a gallon of water 24 hours before your appointment (do NOT chug a bunch of water right before your appointment!) and another gallon in the 24 hours after your appointment. This is going to help your body flush out everything we broke down durning your session. I know this is difficult for many, so please just do your best. Some is better than none. Add lemon to your water, it gives it flavor AND has health benefits.
*Bubbly water does not count for your water intake. Although 0 calories, the carbonation can add to feeling (and looking) full, bloated and gassy.
*No alcohol 24 hours before or after your session.
*Eat light 2 hours before your session.
*Wear comfortable clothing, disposable bra and chonies available upon request.
*Skip booking a session during the week of your menstrual cycle. Skipping a session occasionally will not ruin your progress.
*Bring headphones so you can tune into your favorite podcast or music and tune the world out. This is YOUR time.
*Waist trainers are ideal when working on the mid section. Available for purchase on Amazon. Worn 3-4 hours after your session as well as 3-4 days a week.
*Compression garments for arms and thighs are available on Amazon and ideal for maximizing results.
*Keep meals as clean as possible after appointment.
*For BBL, 20 minute glute workouts daily will help enhance and maintain results.
*Healthy lifestyles and healthy lifestyle changes are key to reaching your goals. Results are permanent if you continue to maintain these healthy habits.
*Face Therapy clients, 1-2 sessions per month is ideal. Please do not receive any peels or acne treatments near your face therapy appointment.
