Get to Know Me

Hi! My name is Abigail Ballard.  I am a speech-language pathologist and the owner of Salt & Light Speech Therapy.  I am married to an incredible man; and together, we have five wonderful, energetic little boys who we are training to be salt and light in our world.  We homeschool and live on a small cattle farm in Rush Springs, OK. 

God has blessed me beyond measure.  He has given me a passion for helping others and has enabled me to live out that passion through speech and language therapy.  There’s an old saying that goes something like, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”  I absolutely love helping to improve the lives of the patients I see by facilitating their use of this powerful gift of communication. 

In 2014, I received my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Oklahoma and in 2017, received my Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma.  I also hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  I worked in a public school setting for six years and have additional clinical experience contracting in private practice and hospital outpatient speech services. I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders in early childhood and school-age children and in pediatric feeding.  I also have experience in and am pursuing further training in adult communication disorders after stroke and dyslexia.
