We at the WESD are excited to announce some great opportunities coming up at the end of February and beginning of March! Students will have the opportunity to register for these industry chats through the links on the document attached in the email. Educators are also welcome to attend! We are currently working on getting the company profiles for all those scheduled to present onto our Virtual Work based Student Explorer (VWSE) web page, but for those that are available a link will be added to this email.
Each company/organization has agreed to do two industry chats. One focused on an overview of their company/organization and the other focused on the hiring process for them and those within their industry. If you would like more insight into this, I can share the two documents they receive from us on information that they should hit on during the chats.
These chats are not expected to exceed 45 minutes but shouldn't be shorter than 30. Presenters will prepare about 20 minutes of presentation then the remainder of the time will be open to Q and A. Our goal is to get students invested in learning about these companies/industries/career paths so that they bring great questions to the chat.
