Salem-Keizer School District is home to award-winning music programs that provide students with opportunities for creative expression and confidence-building.
At Sumpter, all student will experience performing and creating music through singing, playing instruments, dancing, and exploring musical expression!
Below are some helpful links to get to know our programs a little better:
Ms. Gliebe graduated from Corban University in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. She is truly passionate about helping students reach their musical potential through engaging in musical literacy, movement skills, and performance opportunities. She loves to be silly with her students, but also values hard work and perseverance.
In addition to her teaching position at Sumpter, Ms. Gliebe is also an active musician in the community. Though most performing organizations are on hold because of the pandemic, Ms. Gliebe has been the staff accompanist for the Willamette Girlchoir, an organization that strives to help girls reach their potential as young musicians. Ms. Gliebe has also accompanied students through Red Letter Vocal Studios and the Jensen Academy of Vocal Arts. She has also been an active member of the Willamette Master Chorus, whose mission is to bring high quality musicianship to the Salem-Keizer community.
Ms. Gliebe was also the recipient of the Oregon Symphony's Music Educator of the Year award in 2023. In that same year, she was nominated for the Salem-Keizer Crystal Apple Award.
When Ms. Gliebe is not teaching or playing the piano, she enjoys going on walks, camping, playing with her kittens Pidge and Meeko, and spending time with her family in Portland.
