Honors Anatomy and Physiology

HONORS ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY

  • This class is offered as dual enrollment through Seton Hall University. It will be broken up into 4 credits in the fall for Anatomy and then the opportunity to take an additional 4 credits in the spring for Physiology (both topics will be taught concurrently). You may choose to participate in both, either, or neither 4 credit dual enrollment opportunities. Please see the guidance office for details, costs, and registration deadlines.

  • Currently there is no midterm or final exam scheduled for this class, however, an end of course extensive comparative anatomy lab and practical will serve as a final laboratory and will encompass knowledge from the entire course.

  • Supplies for class:

  • 1. Any binder or folder system you like to use. All class handouts will be given on standard paper that has been 3 hole punched. My favorite: The large 3 ring binders (at least 2 in.) from Staples with the reinforced rubber edges--these last all year and are worth the extra cost.

  • 2. A Jumbo size book cover if you will be using a paper textbook.

  • 3. A small box of colored pencils is necessary! The more colors, the better. I will provide colored pencils in class but you may prefer to have your own consistent color choices.

  • 4. A small pencil sharpener if you prefer to always have a sharp point.

  • 5. A highlighter or two and plenty of pencils.

  • Spiral notebooks or composition books are not necessary but you may wish to have a small amount of looseleaf paper.

  • This class will involve numerous dissections and observation of preserved animal and human specimens. If you would like more information or to discuss this in detail, please email me.
