Math Probe in Algebra, Geometry and Practical Math skills of money, time and measurement: In order to keep track of progress my students make, I use various levels of Math probes with my students to monitor their learning and provide interventions. Not only have I received training on the administration of these probes but additionally I have been involved in developing math probes at various levels in the area of Geometry and Practical Math I have made presentations on how Algebra and Geometry probes can be used to monitor math progress of students at various levels in the learning support and co-taught math classes.

Courses: LS Foundations of Algebra/ Geometry; LS Algebra / Geometry I; CT Algebra I
Probe A: 5- minute Basic Skills probe on 4 operations with integers, proportions, single step equations, combining terms, distributive property, basic facts, measurement.
Probe B: 5 -minutes Foundations of Algebra probes on coordinate plane, inequalities, order of operations, 2 step equations, writing algebraic expressions, evaluating algebraic expressions, combining like terms, linear equations.
Courses: LS Algebra / Geometry II; CT Algebra/ Geometry II
Basic Geometry Probes: 7-minute probes on recognizing polygons, circles, area, perimeter, circumference and volume, Pythagorean theorem, similar figures using proportions, angle measures
Probe D: 7-minute linear equations probes on writing linear equations in slope intercept form, identifying x and y values in a table form, identifying graphs that represent the linear equations and identifying linear equations that represent word problems.
Probe D: 7-minute linear equations probes on writing linear equations in slope intercept form, identifying x and y values in a table form, identifying graphs that represent the linear equations and identifying linear equations that represent word problems.
Probe E Algebra: 7-minute Content Analysis probes on higher level of linear equations, systems of equations, linear measures, , polynomials, multi step equations, simplifying algebraic expressions, evaluating expressions, inequalities.
Probe E Geometry: 7 minute Geometry Probe on angles and angle measures, Area and Perimeter of polygons, circles, V and Sa of 3-D objects, change in linear measures, Pythagorean theorem; Coordinate Geometry.
