Your child will be introduced to FALCON APPS. It is an exclusive portal into Google’s free applications reserved for use by Salisbury students and staff only. The Salisbury Portal allows students to use all tools available from Google, but protects them from any content or e-mails from outside the school district. Students will be able to use it for communication, collaboration, time-management, and document storage. Google provides it at no cost to the District - these tools include:
Gmail: a fully functioning e-mail program
Calendar: a customizable calendar and to-do list
Contacts: an address book
Google Docs: a word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and drawing program that allows multi-user access and editing
Sites: a web-page design tool
Video Portal: a place for students and teachers to store and share video projects
Groups: a fully functioning threaded discussion tool
Aviary: a set of image and audio creation and editing tools
Each student will be introduced to their very own g-mail account and calendar to use to keep track of assignments. Please feel free to look at it with your child and assist them if needed.
Log-In Info from main district page
· Go to Salisbury Township School District
· Go to the Extra tab
· Scroll down to Falcon Apps
· Each student has a username/password
· They may log-in
· Click on mail or calendar- whichever you want
