All About the 'Wied'

My name is Kristy Wied and I am a 4th grade teacher at Salisbury Elementary School.

I graduated from Northampton Community College and Cedar Crest College with a Psychology degree and a teaching certificate.  I then went on to graduate from Kutztown University with my Masters in Education.  This will be my 28th year of teaching in Salisbury!

Personally, I am married to my husband Kenny Wied Jr., for 26 years.  He is a graduate of Salisbury High School.  He is a teacher at Southern Lehigh High School and he coaches Varsity Football at Freedom High School.  We have 2 sons, Brady, who is 23 years old and Tyler, who is 13 years old.  We have 3 cats Kiki, Tiger, and Shadow who keep us very busy!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the beach.  We have fun watching and playing all kinds of sports together.  My boys have played basketball, lacrosse, and soccer.  I have played softball, volleyball, and basketball.  My favorite color is blue and my favorite college basketball team is the Duke Blue Devils.  I admire and look up to Coach Krzyzewski as a person, teacher, coach, and leader.
