Purple Group Spelling: Spelling homework comes from the 5th grade Storytown list of words. The activitiy pages include various skills to work with the spelling words. They also should practice pronouncing the words and breaking it a part in their homework packet. This helps them improve their decoding and encoding skills to overall improve reading fluency.
Green Group Spelling: All spelling homework is from SRA Spelling. The purpose of spelling homework is to improve student's literacy through phonics and improve student's reading fluency. Homework is assigned on a Monday or the first day of the school week and is due on Friday.
