Hello mathematicians!

My name is Mrs. O'Brien and I'm proudly in my tenth year of teaching. I recently moved and switched school districts after having my son, James. I have had the pleasure to teach in the School District of Philadelphia and Wallingford Swarthmore. I loved my time in these districts, but I grew up in the Lehigh Valley and am thrilled to be back here at Salisbury Middle School!

I love teaching math and witnessing students overcome challenges. Please remember that math is not a spectator sport and the best way to learn math is by doing it! We will keep your skills sharp and grow your understanding of how math connects to our world. This year we will be focusing on scale drawings, proportional relationships, algebra topics, and probability and statistics.  We are using Zearn and IXL as well as HMH to focus in on these topics and help you be successful.
