Grade Level overview

seventh grade is an exciting year for students. As they grow as individuals, we will encourage them to be more responsible for themselves and their work. Math work is focused on pre-algebra and algebraic concepts. Social Studies this year is world cultures. ELA continues to develop reading and writing abilities. Students will learn about earth and space in Science class this year.

Mr. Posch

I grew up in Allentown and graduated from Dieruff High School. I attended Penn State University were I received my BS in Economics. After working briefly, I decided I wanted to go back to school to become a teacher. I attended Cedar Crest College where I received my mathematics teaching certification. My first job was at Northwestern Lehigh High School and then I worked in the Pleasant Valley School District for 3 years.

I have been teaching in Salisbury School District since 1997 and I currently teach 7th grade math.

I am married and have two kids. My daughter is a graduated from Lehigh University and my son graduated from West Point.

Mrs. Nogueira

Mrs. Nogueira teaches 7th grade ELA at Salisbury Middle School. She has been teaching in Salisbury since 2014.

Mrs. Nogueira is also the SMS Yearbook advisor.

Mrs. Royer

Mrs. Katie Royer has been teaching at Salisbury Middle School since 2015. Prior to joining the Salisbury family she taught Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies in Bethlehem Area School District for six years. Currently, she is the seventh grade social studies teacher at the middle school. She is a graduate of Salisbury High School and is thrilled to be back in the district. Mrs. Royer graduated from Elizabethtown College and Wilkes University, where she obtained her Masters in Education.

Mrs. Williams

Hello! This is my second year teaching at Salisbury Middle School. I earned my bachelors of science from Kutztown Univeristy in 2009, my masters in physics from Lehigh University in 2011, and my masters in education from Kutztown University in 2015. Once I graduated from Kutztown, I worked for 5 years as a math and science teacher at the Jewish Day School. I am very excited to be a part of the 7th grade team and looking forward to working with your child(ren).
