How To Prepare for Registration:

What to Expect During Registration:

The Dial-4 Assessment is a standardized, screening instrument that is individually administered. This assessment analyzes the key developmental skills in children aged 3-0 through 6-11. The DIAL-4 is made up of activities that provide information for five screening areas: Motor, Concepts, Language, Self-Help Development, and Social Development.

The Kindergarten & Early Kindergarten Registration team consists of a team of professionals, including both kindergarten teachers, our EK teacher, our preschool teacher, our Reading Specialist, an Occupational therapist, our Speech & Language Pathologist, the Special Education Coordinator, and the administration.

After Registration

The K-Team will compile and analyze the information we obtain from the Dial-4 assessment, observations, and your shared parent information. This information will determine an appropriate placement for your child and plan developmentally appropriate instruction for the coming school year. The primary screening criterion for EK will be birthdate and performance on the Dial-4 Assessment. Once the entire Registration process is complete, you will receive a letter on your child's placement in either Kindergarten or Early Kindergarten. In August, you will receive a letter from the school disclosing your child's classroom teacher.
