During the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to give time to Salisbury Academy Lower School. Through this volunteer work, I was responsible for assisting in crafts, supervising the children, and helping to clean up at the end of the day.

As a result of my work, I found that Japanese culture and music are topics I want to dive into more. It helped me discover some of my interests and some of my disinterests.

Seminars for Tomorrow's Leaders (SFTL)
During the summer of 2025, I attended the Rotary leadership conference at Gardner-Webb University. At the conference, I spent time learning about how one can be a leader through group activities that restricted us, such as no talking or being blindfolded. However, my favorite part was all the wonderful people I met. They were hilarious, they were kind, and we all felt connected after only one day.
