Bridges to Healthcare
(Cohort IV)

As a member of the Novant Health Intern Cohort 4, I have the opportunity to participate in a highly selective internship program that provides hands-on experience within the healthcare field. Through this program, I am able to explore a wide range of roles, including both clinical and administrative positions, which has given me a better understanding of how different parts of the healthcare system work together to support patient care.

Throughout my experience, I have been exposed to real-world healthcare environments, allowing me to observe patient interactions, communication between healthcare professionals, and the overall flow of medical operations. This has helped me develop a deeper appreciation for the level of coordination, empathy, and professionalism required in healthcare settings. I have also gained insight into the importance of teamwork and how each role plays a critical part in ensuring positive patient outcomes.

This internship has significantly strengthened my interest in pursuing a career in the medical field. By seeing how care is delivered on a larger scale, I am beginning to understand not only the clinical side of medicine but also the systems and processes that support it. Overall, this experience continues to shape my career goals by giving me a clearer vision of the healthcare field and the impact I hope to make in the future.
