Mr. Benjamin Reed

Mr. Reed has been teaching with Saline Area Schools since 2014.  In 2025, he became High School Band Director.  He teaches Wind Ensemble, Symphonic bands, 9th Grade Band,  Jazz Band, Pep Band and is the head director of the Saline Marching Band.  He previously taught Seventh Grade Band, Sixth Grade Band, Fifth Grade Band, the Seventh and Eighth Grade Jazz Bands at Saline Middle School.  Prior to coming to Saline, Mr. Reed served as Director of Bands at Monticello High School in Charlottesville, VA. Mr. Reed has also taught general music in the Fairfax County Public School system. Mr. Reed received the Bachelor of Music in music education and French horn performance from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Music in French horn performance from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently resides in Saline with his wife, Stephanie, and their children Jacob, Ethan, and Grace.
