1. The deadline to apply for the Salinas Valley Teacher Residency program is April 30, 2025.
2. You must be officially enrolled in the CSUMB co-teacher pathway to receive a special code from Dr. Sandra Varajic that allows you to apply via edJoin for the Teacher Residency Program in the Salinas Union High School District.
3. All resident teachers must apply and receive a substitute teacher permit before being eligible for the program.
4. Co-teacher candidates in the content areas of science, math and special education will receive first priority. Once those content areas have been vetted, the program can open up slots for English, social studies and world languages. The program can support up to 12 slots.
5. Residency begins and coincides with the SUHSD school calendar beginning with Professional Development for all teachers on Friday, August 1, 2025 and ending on the teacher workday to close the school year on Friday, May 30, 2026.
